Because of your giving, 14 San Juan seniors in the class of 2024 received a scholarship that ranged from $2,000 to $5,000. Your donations also helped San Juan academic, athletic and social programs, from refurbishing the girls’ softball field to helping seniors attend proms and grad night events who otherwise would not have been able to.
DID YOU KNOW?
Students in San Juan athletic programs are sometimes unable to raise enough money through fundraising activities to buy uniforms and sports equipment. You can help them to enjoy the sport that contributes to their health and development.
About 70 San Juan students have no permanent address. They move from place to place, depending on friends and relatives for shelter. Together, we can support these students and allow them to focus more on their education.
There are currently 15 languages spoken at San Juan. Many students are new to this country and speak limited English. The San Juan Unified School District provides language translation in the classroom. With your help, we can extend that service so that limited English students can communicate anywhere on campus.
The Alumni Association Also Supports…
We maintain an extensive history of San Juan High School in our on-campus LEGACY EXHIBIT. We collect, preserve and exhibit artifacts, memorabilia and publications from the school’s alumni, teachers, students and administrative staff.
We organize our popular reunion event called ALL-CLASS PICNICat Rusch Park, bringing together alumni from various graduating classes.
We participate in Citrus Heights COMMUNITY EVENTS like July 4th picnics and Sunday-Funday events.
We publish a quarterly NEWSLETTER filled with updates, alumni stories, and upcoming events.
